Project Background
Located at 5987 Kitzmiller Road, the future site of Kitzmiller Park is set to become New Albany’s newest community park. The roughly 27 acres of city-owned land is currently made up of wetlands, tall tree stands, and prairies — all ecological features to be preserved through the design of the park. The City of New Albany is seeking direct community input through this design process to determine the priorities and vision for this new park space, including desired amenities and potential programming. Your feedback is welcomed and a key component of the planning process. Alongside this engagement effort, the planning team have conducted updated site surveys and are performing site analyses to assess design outcomes given the environmental conditions on the property.
